What you're looking at in the photos is trichome coverage so dense it changes the colour of the buds. White pistils still visible, calyxes stacked, structure tight from top to bottom. This is what a full-spectrum run looks like when the far-red component has been doing its job through the finishing phase — accelerating ripening without sacrificing density.

The Lucius 800W Blue Label ran sunrise and sunset simulation through the entire cycle via the built-in LCD controller. No separate timer. No external controller. The fixture handled the scheduling itself — ramping up slowly in the morning, stepping down at dusk — and the plants responded to it the way plants respond to actual daylight. Gradually. Consistently. Every day for the whole run.

What the final week actually tells you

A lot of things can look good at week four. The final week is where you find out what actually happened. Trichome density at this stage reflects the cumulative effect of the spectrum across the whole run — particularly the UV contribution in the earlier weeks and the far-red push in the finishing phase. You can't manufacture this in the last seven days. Either the light built it or it didn't.

Trichome density — covering every surface of the calyx, visible from a distance. Result of consistent UV exposure across the full cycle.

Bud structure — tight and dense from top to bottom of each cola. Even PPFD distribution from the 8-bar layout did the work here.

Colour development — healthy green with trichome-white coverage. No light burn, no bleaching, no heat stress at any point in the run.

Ripening on schedule — far-red wavelength in the 800W Blue Label spectrum drove the final maturation phase right on time.
